The company's main business is the development of cryptographic software and public key infrastructure solutions based on international standards and Russian cryptographic algorithms.

Crypto-Pro has all necessary Federal Security Service and State Technical Commission licenses to develop, produce, distribute and service the cryptographic software and to offer services in the encryption of information.

Since 2001 the company has been actively working on the harmonization of international standards and recommendations regarding the use of Russian cryptographic algorithms. The following draft standards (Internet-Drafts) are developed:

• Using the GOST algorithms with the Internet X.509 Public Key Infrastructure Certificate and CRL Profile
• Additional cryptographic algorithms for use with GOST algorithms
• Using the GOST algorithms with the Cryptographic Message Syntax (CMS)
• Addition of GOST Ciphersuites to Transport Layer Security (TLS)
• Using algorithms GOST for XML Digital Signatures
